This is an extensive and stylistically diverse collection of art reflecting both the social issues and the intoxicating beauty of this colorful and remote region of Cuba.
Selected for a 18 City National Exhibition tour in the United States “Cuba Oriente Contemporary Paintings from Eastern Cuba”. The longest touring collection of Contemporary Cuban Art in the U.S. The tour was extended twice due to popular demand. Over 200,000 visitors and hosted by many Senators and Congressmen at the 18 Museums and Art Centers around the country. Articles written about the Artist and the tour appeared in the Wall Street Journal,Washington Post, Palm Beach Post,Havana Journal,The Providence Journal,Washing Diplomat and more.
These remarkable artists span generations and include a former Museum Director, professors and graduates of the regions art academies. Their paintings grace numerous museum and private collections worldwide. Nuance Galleries is the new home for the Clyde Hensley Cuban Art Museum Collection. Art and Antique Magazine nominated Clyde and his wife Bridgett for inclusion into Top 100 Collectors of Art in America in 2006.In 2013 Nuance Galleries of Tampa purchased the entire collection of over 300 paintings.
